Luo Shugang meets with South Korean Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Park Yang-woo

On May 30th, Luo Shugang, minister of Culture and Tourism, met with Park Yang-woo, minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea, as well as his delegation. Both sides exchanged views on deepening exchanges and cooperation between China and South Korea in the sectors of tourism and culture.

Luo Shugang congratulated Park Yang-woo on his new mission as  minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea, and welcomed him to visit China. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea, he expressed, two sides witnessed in-depth development in cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation with the attention and promotion of two leaders as well as close cooperation between departments of two sides. They also conducted close cooperation under the multilateral framework, which positively contributes to deepening bilateral ties. At the same time, China is willing to join hands with South Korea to give full play to the role of cultural and tourism exchanges in enhancing mutual trust and remove doubts, and consolidate the social foundation of the friendship.
Park Yang-woo said that the South Korea government attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with China in the sectors of culture and tourism, and speaks highly of the important role of Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism in promoting people-to-people and cultural exchanges and cooperation between two countries. He expressed that he is willing to step up efforts to enhance exchanges, deepen pragmatic cooperation and bring two peoples together. Besides, he also invited Minister Luo Shugang to attend the 11th China-Japan-South Korea Cultural Minister’s Meeting and the 9th China-Japan-South Korea Tourism Minister’s Meeting, as well as pay a visit to South Korea.
