On the afternoon of March 28, in Beijing Fujian Building, silk and bamboo were wrapped around the beam and the sea fragrance was wafting. As one of the series activities of Beijing Fujian Reception Room, the "World Heritage Quanzhou Taste Connecting the five Continents" and "Song Yuan Sea Silk Banquet" special tasting meeting of foreign envoys in China was held here, opening a taste and cultural feast that spans time and space. About 50 ambassadors and senior diplomats from 25 countries such as Greece, Montenegro and Panama, as well as representatives of relevant international organizations in China, were invited to taste Quanzhou's culinary charm and profound sea silk cultural heritage.

In 2021, "Quanzhou: The World Marine Trade Center of Song and Yuan China" was successfully included in the World Heritage List, and 22 heritage sites connected an "epic of Marine trade". A thousand years ago, Quanzhou, as an important starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, witnessed the flourishing scene of "the merchants of all countries in the sound of the rising sea" : merchants gathered together, boats stood in abundance, ceramics, silk and spices from foreign countries met here, and wisdom and civilization of the East and the West collided and blended here, giving birth to the open, inclusive, pluralistic and symbiotic spirit of the sea. The opening of the Maritime Silk Road has also brought more diversified new ingredients, seasonings and cooking methods to Quanzhou, forming a unique local food culture.

The food of Quanzhou is the taste of fusion with the world, and the "Song and Yuan Sea Silk Banquet" from the stone lions of Quanzhou is one of the representative works of Quanzhou food. The theme banquet is based on the Shanjia Qing Confession written by Lin Hong, a Shishi gourmet in the Southern Song Dynasty, closely combined with the historical context of food exchange in Quanzhou in the Song and Yuan Dynasties as a "world Marine trade center", and deeply explored the wonderful fusion skills of Shishi mountain delicacies, including 104 classic dishes carefully restored according to ancient books. There are also proud creations that are bold innovations in local famous dishes in southern Fujian. The banquet covers a number of categories such as appetizer, soup, main course, main course and dessert, with a total of 128 exquisite dishes, including famous dishes from southern Fujian, combining delicacies and seafood in one meal, and integrating elements such as sea silk, trade and religion into one. The dishes and banquet are perfectly compatible with Song and Yuan Dynasty utensils, scenes, music and poetry, which not only vividly demonstrates the profound essence of southern Fujian food culture, but also shows the profound essence of southern Fujian food culture. It also carries the profound connotation of the thousand-year sea silk culture.

At present, Quanzhou City is striving to create a "world cuisine capital". In order to show the charm of Quanzhou cuisine to the whole country and even the world, under the guidance of Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, Fujian Provincial Office in Beijing, Quanzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and Quanzhou Municipal People's Government, Quanzhou City to create the "World Food capital" work class, Quanzhou City Industry and information Technology Bureau, Quanzhou City Bureau of Commerce, Quanzhou City Foreign Affairs Office, the CPC Shishi Municipal Party Committee, Shishi Municipal People's Government and other units jointly held the "Shishi 'Jing' banquet sea silk sailing" in Beijing Fujian Building. The "Song Yuan Sea Silk Banquet" special tasting of foreign diplomatic envoys in China is one of the highlights of the event.
