On May 28, 2024, Li Hui, Special Representative of the Chinese Government for Eurasian Affairs, Zhang Ming, Secretary General of SCO, and Cui Jianghong, Secretary of the Cultural Exchange Organization of Presenting China to the World were invited to attend the reception held by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Beijing on the occasion of Azerbaijan's National Day. The reception was attended by Chinese and foreign guests, including ambassadors of various countries and representatives of some international organizations in China.

Li Hui said that China-Azerbaijan friendship and partnership has developed healthily and steadily, and the two sides have maintained a high degree of political mutual trust, pushed forward cooperation in economic and trade, energy, transportation, humanities and other fields, and collaborated closely in international affairs. China is willing to work with Azerbaijan to implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, always adhere to mutual trust, comprehensively expand mutually beneficial cooperation, unite and collaborate in the “Global South” family, and jointly advocate equal and orderly world multipolarity and inclusive economic globalization, and promote the building of a community of shared destiny for mankind.

Huseynov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan in China, spoke highly of the development of bilateral relations and the results of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, saying that the friendship between Azerbaijan and China is everlasting, the two sides support each other on issues related to each other's core interests, and that the Azerbaijani side is ready to continue to carry out mutually beneficial cooperation with the Chinese side to promote the advancement of the bilateral relations towards a higher level.
