On September 13th, Jiangsu Cultural and Tourism Promotion was held in Hague, Holland. Many local residents were attracted to attend the event.
The promotion was organized at Hague Auto Museum. During the promotion, the organizer, China Cultural Center in Hague, introduced Jiangsu from its history, nature and food. Besides, representatives from tourism administrations of Suqian and Suzhou presented their own local tourism resources.
Zwei Winiger, a professor of the University of Amsterdam, said that he was very looking forward to visiting Jiangsu to view Jiangsu’s beautiful natural landscapes and having a taste of local food after the promotion. Rita Mengs told the reporter that she also wanted to visit Jiangsu again to have a better understanding of people’s life there.
In addition, the opening ceremony of “A Charming Jiangsu of Chinese Chapter-Jiangsu Cultural and Tourism Carnival” was held at Hague Auto Museum. “Currently, China and Holland have seen practical cooperation in various fields. Meanwhile, China has become one of the most popular tourism destinations among international tourists. It is hoped that more tourists could visit China to view Chinese natural landscapes and splendid culture.” said Chinese Ambassador to Holland Xu Hong in his speech.
It is said that a series of activities including food week and photo exhibition will be held by China Cultural Center in Hague during the carnival.
Besides, representatives from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, Hague municipal government, local tourism administrations as well as overseas Chinese in Holland also attended the above-mentioned event.
