On December 15th, 2018, the photo exhibition of “China’s Landscape in Swedish Eyes” unveiled in China Cultural Center in Stockholm. Chinese natural scenery and cultural landscapes shot by Swedish photographers were showed in many works.
More than 100 people including Gui Congyou, Chinese ambassador to Sweden, Grundsten, a famous Swedish landscape photographer, as well as guests and overseas Chinese from Sweden were present.
The photo works include not only the unique Yardang landform within Altay prefecture, three thousand cragged mountains in Zhangjiajie , but also China-Europe freight trains connecting the Asia and Europe and prospering industry of wind power, as well as happy and harmonious Xinjiang people and fisherman in Lijiang, Guilin. Many visitors were so overwhelmed that stopped their feet to experience those beautiful natural landscapes, Chinese culture and modern social development.
“Positive achievements of China-Sweden friendly exchanges were seen in this exhibition which enables us to enjoy China’s beautiful scenery and harmonious cultural landscapes” said Gui Congyou in his speech.
This exhibition was jointly held by Green Post and Camera and Pictures magazine. Chen Xuefei, editor of the Green Post, was invited to step into Xinjiang with other foreign journalists. More than ten journalists and photographers visited Beijing, Zhangjiajie and Guilin. They use the cellphone camera to record the different landscapes and cultures of China.
During the opening ceremony, Chen Xuefei said 30 pictures were selected from thousands of pictures to exhibit. Grundsten praised his trip in China.
“This is the first time that I came to China and recorded it with cameras, during which spectacular landscapes in Zhangjiajie impressed me most,” said Witsel, a journalist from Camera and Pictures magazine, adding that he was deeply overwhelmed by vast land, colorful resources and modern development of China. He hoped to travel around other places in China.
It is said that this exhibition will endure until December 22nd, 2018.
