On April 24th, "Seeing China——Decoding the Genes of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture" Technology and Culture Exhibition hosted by China Cultural Center Bangkok and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) held an exhibition introduction meeting at China Cultural Center Bangkok. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China in Thailand Han Zhiqiang and his wife Wang Huan, former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Chairman of Thailand-China Cultural Promotion Committee Pitney Chaluksongpa, President of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunication Xu Kun, President of Ilsanbulang University Banchak, President of Overseas Chinese University of Sungai University Urakpam, Dean of Faculty of Arts of Fajing University Pasabong, Minister Counselor of the Embassy Chang Yumeng, Counselor Xu Lan, Director of the Chinese Cultural Center and Director of the Chinese Tourism Office in Bangkok Que Xiaohua, as well as teachers and students of Thai universities and media, more than 100 people attended the seminar.
Han Zhiqiang said in his speech that science and technology empowers the protection and display of cultural relics and activates their vitality, which not only vigorously promotes the creative transformation and innovative development of the excellent traditional Chinese culture, but also creates new forms and opportunities for civilization exchanges and mutual understanding between China and other countries in the world. This year is the China-ASEAN Year of Humanistic Exchanges, and next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, so it is the right time for educational, cultural, scientific and technological institutions between the two countries to take active actions to carry out closer exchanges and cooperation.
In his speech, Mr. Phinney mentioned that China's excellent traditional culture is deep and profound, and at the same time, China has always been in the world's leading position in the field of science and technology, and that this exhibition's innovative use of scientific and technological forms of displaying Chinese cultural relics is a sight to behold. It is hoped that Thailand and China can strengthen cooperation and exchanges in the fields of culture, science and technology as well as education, and continuously enhance the friendship of "China and Thailand as one family".
Xu Kun said in his speech, the exhibition was carefully selected to highlight the symbols of outstanding traditional Chinese culture on display physical pictures, through the use of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, naked eye 3D and other advantageous areas of digital technology means, so that the background of cultural relics, connotations and performance of the "live up". It is hoped that this exhibition will be an opportunity for more cultural resources and scientific and technological power to intermingle and promote each other between China and Thailand.
The exhibition focuses on promoting humanistic exchanges between China and Thailand, and is an active exploration of digital technology empowering the revitalization and utilization of cultural relics, and an innovative way of exhibition display, and is also the first overseas scientific and technological cultural exhibition hosted by a "Belt and Road" co-construction country, which focuses on symbolic value, scientific and technological value, aesthetic value, inheritance value, and value of the times, and makes use of digital technology to beautifully present the essence of Chinese cultural relics and decode the genes of Chinese traditional culture. The exhibition integrates China's long history and culture, unique cultural charms and the innovative achievements of modern science and technology, contributing wisdom and strength to the construction of a community of human destiny and the building of a "Belt and Road" digital cultural corridor.
The "Seeing China——Decoding the Genes of Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture" Technology and Culture Exhibition was successfully held at the China Cultural Center in Bangkok from April 22nd to 24th, which attracted many teachers and students from Thai universities and the general public to come to visit and experience the exhibition, and while watching the exhibition, they were able to come into contact with Chinese cultural relics in a more vivid and enjoyable way through multiple experiences such as sight, sound and touch, which opened up a brand new perspective of analyzing the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
