On January 30, "Hello, China!" tourism promotion conference was held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the Chinese Embassy in France, and the Tourism Office of China in Paris at the Palais de Brongnières.
Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism Sun Yeli, Chinese Ambassador in France Lu Shaino, former French Prime Minister and President of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance de Villepin, Director General of the French Tourism Development Agency Manthey, Honorary Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization Franjali, President of the Club Méditerranée de France Destin, Vice-President of the Committee on Transportation and Tourism of the European Parliament Uygur Haïi, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of China to UNESCO Yang Xinyu, and about 500 people from all sectors in France and China were present at the event.
The promotion conference released the "Hello, China!" national tourism image logo and "Silk Road", "Southwest Ethnic Customs", "Yellow River Cultural Journey" and "Ice and Snow Tourism" four boutique routes, and introduced China's inbound tourism facilitation measures. Chinese artists and French children's choir performed Peony Pavilion, If I Go to China and other songs respectively, and Chinese intangible inheritance bearers demonstrated tea art, paper-cutting and other intangible cultural heritage.
Before the promotion conference, the "Sino-French Tourism Dialogue" was also held, which was attended by nearly 100 representatives from Chinese and French tourism authorities, tour operators, airlines, airports, scenic spots, hotels and so on. The two rounds of dialogues were centered on the topics of "Difficulties and Solutions in French Tourism to China" and "Changes in Demand and Product Strategies in Chinese Tourism to France" respectively, and the participants had in-depth discussions and brainstorming sessions to provide innovative solutions to better serve the people-to-people exchanges between the two sides and to promote the healthy development of the Chinese and French tourism markets.
