On December 24, Cairo Chinese Cultural Center and Manir Palace Museum cooperated to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Manir Palace Museum. Yang Ronghao, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt and Director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Cairo, Osman, bureau chief of the Museums Department of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, Amari, Director of the Manir Palace Museum, and more than 100 guests from Egyptian cultural and art circles attended the event.

In the speech, Amari said that the Manir Palace Museum has established a good and close cooperative relationship with the Cairo Chinese Cultural Center, thanked the Cultural Center for its support to the museum, and looked forward to more exchanges and cooperation with the Cultural Center and the Chinese cultural institutions and museums.

The Chinese Cultural Center in Cairo organized and arranged wonderful programs such as Chinese hanfu and ethnic minority costume show, Taiji performance and Hulusi instrumental music performance, which won the warm applause of the audience and added a festive atmosphere to the celebration.　　

During the event, Yang Ronghao introduced the Global Civilization Initiative, Asian Cultural Heritage Conservation Alliance and the Alliance for the Protection of Royal Sites, and invited the Egyptian Manir Palace Museum and other Egyptian royal museums to join the Alliance for the Protection of Royal Sites, which was positively responded to and enthusiastically fed back by the Egyptian side.

Founded in 1901 as the palace of Prince Muhammad Ali during the Egyptian Ottoman Empire, the Manir Palace Museum is located on Cairo's Manir Island and covers an area of 61,711 square meters, including 5,000 square meters of floor space. Manir Palace is a palace complex consisting of 15 buildings with distinctive architectural styles, containing a small garden in the center. The halls of the building are covered with handmade Arabic carpets and contain beautiful landscape paintings from Prince Mohammed's personal collection, as well as rare antiques such as porcelains, costumes and furniture.
