Zhang Xu said that communication between teenagers was an important component of friendly exchanges between China and Japan and was of special effect in enhancing mutual understanding, promoting the friendship between the two countries and solidifying the basis of public opinion. China-Japan Youth Study and Travel Committee had played an important role in the marketization operation of teenager travel and study between the two countries. Zheng Xu gave a few suggestions to recover and expand this market, including jointly enhancing top design; spending more effort in promotion and market development; conducting market research of deeper level, designing high-quality product for overseas travel and foreign study and cultivating more talents for communication between teenagers. More activities relating to sports, culture and tourism should be lunched to improve the mutual understanding of teenagers of China and Japan.
Cheng Fubo said that China and Japan were important friends for each other. Symposium on Study and Trip of Teenager in China and Japan was an important measure to carry out the result of an conference between heads of China and Japan in 2019. Shaanxi Province was the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, so it had witnessed a long history of friendly communication with Japan. For all these years, Japan had been an important customer source of this province. He hoped that when inbound tourism was available again, more teenagers from Japan would study and travel in Shaanxi to push forward cultural exchanges and mutual learning and to support the friendship to be passed down for generations.
Yoshiko Yoshima said that heads of China and Japan had reached multiple important consensuses in youth communication. There were many pairs of friendly cities between China and Japan. Japan also had many attractive cities beside Tokyo and Osaka. We could make full use of the teenagers’ study and travel to enhance students’ mutual visit and exchanges among schools and universities, which would further support communication between teenagers among the two countries to make it stable for a long time.
Deng Wei said that in recent years, through concerted effort of China and Japan, the two countries’ relationship was back to the right track and was continuously improved and developed. China-Japan tie saw friendship among ordinary people as an important base. Careful planing to make teenagers’ study and travel with more highlights, more special features and more influence will be helpful to solidify the base for the positive public opinion and to construct a new structure for the interaction of people in our two countries, both of which could create a favorable environment for China-Japan tie.
