On 21 March, the "Spring Breeze in Tianjin" promotional event was successfully held at the Beijing Hotel. The event showcased brand-new Tianjin-themed tourism products and special culture and tourism projects, and vividly demonstrated the new attractiveness of Tianjin Municipality's culture and tourism industry through presentations by travel influencers and the arrangement of special exhibition areas outside the venue. The event also witnessed the signing of the "Promoting Joint Development, Boosting Tourism Industry" mutual supply agreement between travel agency representatives in Beijing and Tianjin, and the launch of the "Smart City, Visible Data" tourism big data screen in Tianjin, raising the atmosphere of the promotional event to new heights. The event was attended by relevant officials from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, as well as representatives from travel agencies, scenic areas and media organizations.
During the promotional event, officials from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism delivered speeches, stressing that the purpose of the event was to promote Tianjin's culture and tourism industry, introduce its scenery, food culture, local customs and cultural activities, showcase Tianjin's morality, spirit and cultural accumulation, further unleash the colors of the municipality, and invite people from all over China to visit Tianjin, fall in love with Tianjin and return to Tianjin.
At the event, an engaging Tianjin tourism promotional video excited people about Tianjin's tourism market in the post-pandemic era. Mr. Chen Bing, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, introduced the four seasons of Tianjin's tourism activities. From "Spring Breeze in Tianjin" with spring flowers and garden products, to "Fall in Love with Tianjin's Summer" with water products, to "Enjoy the Long Days of Autumn in Tianjin" with autumn hiking and country fruit picking products, to "Experience the Warmth and Charm of Tianjin's Winter" with winter hot springs, skiing and gourmet food products, Tianjin offers visitors rich and varied tourism products for all seasons.
The promotional event also saw the launch of a variety of thematic culture and tourism projects, including the 2023 "Joyful Four Seasons in Tianjin" tourism products, the Begonia Festival at Wudadao in Heping District, the ocean-themed special culture and tourism project in Binhai New Area, the special culture and tourism projects in Xiqing and Jizhou Districts, and Wittur Group's Florentia Village shopping district and V1 Auto Racing Carnival. Social media influencers attending the event gave presentations on "A Chic Micro-Holiday in Tianjin" and "A Parent's Guide to Children's Tianjin".
Outside the event venue, an on-site exhibition area made up of posters from the 16 administrative districts of Tianjin Municipality vividly displayed the unique Tianjin culture of each district. The venue also showcased the Hezhen Incense and gifts from Heping District, the Zisha Pot from Jizhou District, the Six Ancient Scene of Wuqing book lamp and the Fishermen’s Songs from Lushui from Wuqing District, the seagull watches and the salt-themed creative cultural products from Binhai New Area, as well as the sorghum wine from Yijuyong, the jujube rolls from Xianghe Bakery, and the Meifu traditional pastry bucket from Xianghe Foods.
To increase the flow of tourists between Beijing and Tianjin, the promotion event also witnessed the signing ceremony of the “Promoting Joint Development, boosting the Tourism Industry” mutual supply agreement between representatives from travel agencies in Beijing and Tianjin, which strives to promote the integrated development of regional tourism.
This promotion event is an important initiative of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism to carry out the "ten major actions" deployed by the Party Committee and Government of Tianjin Municipality to "attract tourists to Tianjin" and an important measure for devising the municipality's key tourism activities. In the future, the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism will continue to take advantage of the trend, aiming at the two objectives of assisting the construction of an urban international consumption center and creating a domestic culture and tourism destination, carrying out a series of culture and tourism activities under the theme of "Joyful Four Seasons in Tianjin", forming a pattern of "Weekly Topics, Monthly Activities, Quarterly Achievements, and Annual Highlights" in the local tourism industry.
