In the article, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that “revolutionary cultural relics carry the glorious history of the Party and the people's heroic struggle, record the great course of the Chinese Revolution and touching deeds, and are valuable assets of the Party and the country, and are vivid teaching materials for carrying forward revolutionary traditions and culture, strengthening the construction of socialist spiritual civilization, stimulating patriotic fervor, and invigorating the national spirit”, and emphasized that “strengthening the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics, carrying forward revolutionary culture, and inheriting the red gene”. “It emphasizes that ‘strengthening the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics, promoting revolutionary culture and passing on the red gene is the common responsibility of the whole Party and society’”.

Red is the brightest color of the Communist Party of China and the People's Republic of China. The beautiful land of China is a fertile cultural land that has nurtured the splendid civilization of the Chinese nation for more than 5,000 years, and it is also a hot red land bathed in strong revolutionary culture. The revolutionary culture created during the great struggle of the Party and the people has centrally embodied the Party's beliefs, nature and purposes, original mission and goals, fully manifested the style and character of the Chinese communists who are not afraid of sacrifice, courageous and innovative, and contains the genetic code of “why we have been successful in the past”, and sets the roadmap for “how we can continue to be successful in the future”, and is a valuable spiritual wealth created by the Party and the people together.
