On January 6^th, the 2022 National Conference for Directors of Culture and Tourism Director was held as a video conference in Beijing. Hu Heping, minister and secretary of the leading party group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, participated in the conference and delivered a speech. He stressed that relating departments should implement the spirits of the 19^th CPC national conference and all conferences of the 19^th CPC Central Committee; implement the spirit of the statements and instructions; summarize the work of 2021 and make plans for tasks in 2022. The aim is to push forward the high-quality development of culture and tourism and to greet the 20^th CPC national congress with outstanding result. Attendees are members of the leading party group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, including Li Qun, Zhang Xu, Wang Xudong, La Yifan, Lu Yingchuan, Du Jiang and Rao Quan.

    Hu Heping said that the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping as it’s core attaches great importance to culture and tourism. The general secretary has delivered many speeches and made important instructions. This shows his care of culture and tourism related work. Practitioners feel encouraged, more confident and determined. In the last year, those working in the cultural and tourism system have been working hard in the following aspects. They studied and implement the Xi Jinping thought for socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. They learned the important speeches delivered by the president, especially those relate to culture and tourism. They launched the party history education, strictly govern the CPC members in all aspects, be firm in belief and ideology and gather the strength to progress. They contributed to the central work of the party and the nation and completed major tasks of the performance to mark the 100^th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. They pay attention to the pandemic prevention and control to help participators of culture and tourism market with their problems. They worked hard and innovated when stick to the right direction, so as to gain new achievements in every work and to step forward.

    Hu Heping stressed that 2022 is an important year to embark on a new journey to build a socialist modern country in all aspects and to strive to realize the second centenary goal. The party will hold the 20^th national conference. Those working in the national cultural and tourism system need to learn and implement the important spirit of the general secretary Xi Jinping about culture and tourism, especially that of the letter wrote back to the National Theater of China and of the speeches delivered in the 11^th national congress of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and on the opening ceremony of the 10^th opening ceremony of China Writers Association. The senses of mission and responsibility are improved in this way. They need to focus on the main task of promoting and implementing the CPC’s 20^th national congress, organized study, promotion and implementation and arrange the literary and artistic creation, performance and exhibition, so as to create a sound atmosphere for the launching of the 20^th CPC national congress. They need to consider the situation of the new development stage, new development ideology an new development structure. They need to improve the reform and encourage the innovation, so as to create a strong national cultural and tourism market, so as to improve the exchanges and cooperation between China and the world, and culture-tourism integration to push forward the high-quality of culture and tourism. We need to carry out the work in a study way; to push forward the implementation of the 14^th five year plan and annual work plan; coordinate the work to prevent the pandemic and to support cultural and tourism development, so as to overcome the negative influence of the pandemic, to push forward the recovery and development of the industry, to solve difficulties of main participators of the market and practitioners and to safeguard the ideological safety and national cultural security.

    In the conference, ideas about the “high-quality development of culture and tourism against the background of regular prevention and control of the pandemic” were exchanged by people from the culture and tourism departments (bureaus) of six provinces and regions, including Hebei, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Fujian, Sichuan and Xin Jiang. Attendees in the main hall included heads of bureaus and departments, central commission for discipline inspection and state supervisory commission in discipline inspection and supervision group of Ministry of Culture and Tourism, national audit office group culture audit bureau, branch departments of the CPC Central Committee and the government, departments and bureaus of the National Cultural Heritage Bureau and colleges and universities jointly built by ministry and Beijing. Attendees in the branch hall include heads of municipal culture and tourism departments of different provinces, cities and regions; bureaus of culture, sports, television and tourism of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps; administration departments of culture and tourism and mutually constructed institutes of higher learning.
