The National Publicity Minister Conference was held in Beijing on January 5^th. Wang Huning, secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee and member of the standing committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, attended the conference and delivered speeches. He said that all publicity ministers should follow the guidance of the Xi Jinping thoughts with Chinese characteristics for a new era; to enhance the “Four Consciousnesses”; to stick to the “Four Confidence” and to fulfill the “Two Maintenance”. The main task is to prepare for, promote and implement the 20^th CPC National Congress, so as to push forward the spread the ideological promotion to offer ideological guarantee and strong spiritual strength to start a new journey and to contribute to a new era.

    Wang Huning said that since the 19^th CPC National Congress, the general secretary Xi Jinping has been delivering a series of important speeches and making a series of significant instructions, both of which give an in-depth answer to the questions relating to the direction, foundation and strategy of the ideological promotion. We need to learn and to implement them well.

    Wang Huning said that to do this year’s ideological promotion well requires us to focus on the decisive function of “seeing Xi Jinping as the core of the CPC and the CPC Central Committee as well as establishing the Xi Jinping thoughts with Chinese characteristics for a new era as the guidance”. Relating department should also do well in the work in news publicity, culture and art promotion and social promotion; improving the education on party history and create a strong atmosphere for the successful opening of the CPC’s 20^th national conference. The authority needs to improve the supply of high-quality cultural products and service to offer more beneficial spiritual product for people. The international promotion and innovation also need to be improved to improve the international communication. We also need to enhance the CPC’s leadership and construction in terms of the promotion and ideological front line and improve the ability of cadres and heads of government.

    Huang Kunming, publicity minister of the CPC Central Committee and member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, hosted the conference and planed for the work. He stressed the significance of this year’s work and follow the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. All work should be push forward steadily. And people working in the government should innovate while stick to the right direction. Ideological work should be done following the process of preparing for, promoting and implementing the CPC’s 20^th national congress. We need to hold high the ideological banner; gather the strength of progress; nurture the spirit to enhance the country; strengthen the foundation of security; let China’s voice be heard in the world; make a comprehensive plan for theory, information publication, art and literature, construction for spiritual civilization and international communication; pass down the passion to love the CPC, China and socialism inspired in the 100-year party history; improve the spirit of all members of the party and the whole society and encourage all cadre and people to step on a new journey confidently and to make new achievement in a new era. The construction of the party in the ideological front line should also be enhanced to implement the party’s leadership in all aspects of the work, so as to shoulder the glorious responsibility of the era.
