On September 15th, Chinese president Xi Jinping wrote a congratulation letter to the 2021 “Belt and Road”·the Great Wall International Folk Culture and Arts Festival.
Xi Jinping said that civilizations were more colorful through communication. I brought up the “Belt and Road” initiative 8 years ago. With common effort of all participators, the initiative had achieved great result in construction, promoted people’s welfare in participating countries and pushed forward the exchanges of the joint building of civilizations. The 2021 “Belt and Road”·the Great Wall International Folk Culture and Arts Festival offered a stage for folk art and culture of different countries, a bridge for the communication of people form various countries and a bond for the exchange and mutual learning between multiple countries. China believed civilizations should be equal, inclusive and was willing to communicate and learn from each other, so China was willing to work with other countries to jointly push forward the construction of the “Belt and Road”. The country advocated that different nations could coexist in a harmonious way and could respect cultures of others, so as to make greater contribution to the progress of human civilization.
The 2021 “Belt and Road”·the Great Wall International Folk Culture and Arts Festival was held in Langfang city of Hebei province. The theme was “the integration of art and culture·the joint construction of the ‘Belt and Road’”. The festival was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Hebei Provincial People’s Government.
