On August 15th, the opening ceremony of 2020 Rizhao Culture and Tourism Life Festival organized by the Publicity Department of Rizhao Municipal CPC Committee and Rizhao Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau was held in the square at the gate No.1 of the Wanpingkou Scenic Area!
Attendees were Du Qingsun, vice minister for Rizhao Municipal, Xiao Mei, secretary of leading party group of Rizhao Municipal Culture and Tourism bureau, and heads of Rizhao Municipal Education Bureau, General Labour Union Office, Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Municipal Women's Federation, Municipal China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Municipal Investment Company for Urban Development and Culture and Tourism Bureau of municipal district (Social Services Bureau).
Xiao Mei, secretary of Rizhao Municipal Cultural and Tourism Bureau, said in his speech that in recent years, “Culture and Tourism Life Festival” was a representation of cultural and tourism in our city, a method to push cultural and tourism integration and an important content to construct a modern public cultural service system. The authority could build an important platform to promote cultural and tourism consumption, to consolidate the achievement of build national civilized city and to show the spirit of Rizhao citizens in a new era.
The opening ceremony began with a dance named “Hello! Rizhao”. It’s beautiful costumes and amazing move attracted everyone and let audience understand that life in Rizhao was special.
Colorful performance of various kinds attracted many citizens and tourists. They occupied all seats and everything was in order. Nearly 70 thousand people watched the performance online.
2020 Rizhao Culture and Tourism Life Festival lasted two month. It included performances, exhibitions and art forums. The city and counties cooperated to show the rich cultural accumulation of Rizhao. There were 20 theme activities of various kinds, like classical performance and folk and custom art; intangible cultural heritage performance integrating traditional and innovation; Chinese opera liked by senior citizens and reading competition adapted to youth and art exhibitions of paintings and calligraphy works.
