“Jiayou Zhongguo (Stay Strong, China), Jiayou “Reganmian (a traditional Wuhan dish)” (Stay Strong, Wuhan)” jointly voiced by Turkish Ambassador to China Abdulkadir Emin Onen and Turkish people working and living in China in a video released by the Turkish Embassy in China to aid the government and people of China who are fighting against the epidemic in full gear.
In recent days, many foreign envoys to China expressed their care and support to China and Wuhan via different ways, releasing a positive message that the human future is closely interconnected when facing the contagion.
On the occasion of the Chinese Lantern Festival, Brazilian Ambassador to China Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita made a video to convey his best wishes to the Chinese people affected by the novel coronavirus pneumonia. He expressed that a bright future will be foreseen with concerted efforts of all sides to fight against the epidemic. “Brazil has confidence in Chinese people who have won many challenges previously.” he said.
“In the hard time for the moment, we stay united with Chinese government and people to fight against the contagion,” said Leela Mani Paudyal, Nepal’s ambassador to China, who hailed China’s all-out attention to its people’s lives and health and believed that the efforts made by China to prevent the spread of the virus will receive expected results soon. “I will also extend my gratitude to the government and people of China for their treasured support to Nepalese, including overseas students in Hubei and other places in China, though you are confronted with huge difficulties now.” he added.
The Embassy of Iran to China posted a video clip on its official Sina Weibo account, in which ten Iranian kids read loudly in Chinese, “China, stay strong; Wuhan, stay strong”. “I have gone through a different Spring Festival in China as Chinese friends are fighting against the pneumonia epidemic,” said Iranian Ambassador to China Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh. “I am convinced that the Chinese nation, with a long history of five thousand years, is capable of winning this battle. Meanwhile, I will appreciate the Chinese government who shouldered the mission of combating the virus. The government and people of Iran will unswervingly stay with the government and people of China shoulder by shoulder to fight against the contagion till the end.” he added.
Damba Gankhuyag, Mongolian ambassador to China, also produced a video for aid. He expressed that Mongolia and China are close neighbors and friends connected by mountains and rivers with more than 4700 kilometers borderline. “It is admirable to see the concerted efforts made by Chinese people to combat the epidemic outbreak in Wuhan with the leadership of the Communist Party of China. I would like to pay the tribute to the medical staff, soldiers of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and volunteers at the front line of the epidemic fight.” he said.
The News Office of the Greek Embassy to China released a message on its official website: Greece will stand with the whole China to fight against the epidemic. “The epidemic outbreak has become a global issue that requiring stronger international cooperation in various fields to reduce its consequence, limit its spreading and safeguard public health,” said Georgios Iliopoulos, Greek ambassador to China. “China has responded to this challenge resolutely. The Greek Embassy to China believed that the concerted efforts of both sides will play an decisive role in winning this battle.” he added.
“The courage and efforts of Chinese people in the fight have left a deep impression on us,” said Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to China, stressing that China has built two hospitals in Wuhan with 2500 beds within a very short time. The UAE is full of admiration for the government and people of China in determination and coordination. “The medical workers on the front line are heroes.” he added.
Naghmana Alamgir Hashmi, Pakistan’s ambassador to China, noted in an interview that the Chinese government has taken prompt action to build a hospital in Wuhan with more than one thousand beds within few days. Besides, Wuhan also took effective measures to limit inflow and outflow of people. “I was here during the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) outbreak in 2003. Therefore, I have full confidence in Chinese government for its determination and capacity in effective prevention and control, and Chinese doctors and hospitals for their abilities.” she said.
“The Chinese government has taken decisive and effective measures to address the epidemic outbreak. The Chinese people have also shown great patience and perseverance,” said Akram Zeynalli, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to China. “It is believed that China is sure to win this battle and continue to move on. Moreover, we are convinced that Wuhan and China will succeed in fighting against the virus and remain a robust economy. Stay strong, China; stay strong, Wuhan.” he said.
Luis Diego Monsalve, ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to China, spoke highly of the great efforts Chinese people have made in fighting against the epidemic contagion. He expressed that they will support China who is in difficulty for the moment, and believed that China would finally overcome the obstacles.
“I would like to convey the warm regards from Ecuador’s people and president to brave Chinese people who will win this battle with their own wisdom.” said Carlos Larrea Davila, Ecuador’s ambassador to China.

The staff of Venezuela’s Embassy to China expressed their admiration for Chinese medical workers on the front line, believing that China will win the battle against the novel coronavirus pneumonia. “China, stay strong. Venezuela will be with you.” they said.
