Vice Minister Li Jinzao meets with Moroccan Ambassador to China Aziz Mekouar

On January 17th, Li Jinzao, vice minister of Culture and Tourism, met with a Moroccan delegation comprising Moroccan Ambassador to China Aziz Mekouar, General Director of Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) Adel El Fakir and Royal Air Maroc’s CEO Abdelhamid Addou. Both sides have in-depth exchanges in hosting the China-Morocco Year of Culture and Tourism 2020 and further deepening exchanges and cooperation in culture and tourism. 
Li Jinzao expressed that the Chinese government has all along been attaching great importance to developing the relations between China and Morocco. It is a trend for two sides to deepen bilateral cooperation in culture and tourism. The two sides will host various events during the China-Morocco year of culture and tourism. In the meantime, the Chinese side is willing to join hands with the Morocco side to bolster in-depth development of culture and tourism and further enhance the friendship between two peoples. 
Moroccan Ambassador to China Aziz Mekouar appreciated Li’s attention and care to the cultural and tourism cooperation between Morocco and China. The Morocco side is proactively preparing for the China-Morocco year of culture and tourism. He is also looking forward to Minister Luo Shugang’s visit in January to kick off the year of culture and tourism. He expressed that the Chinese market is of great importance to Morocco’s tourism. Therefore, the Morocco side will further enhance its tourism promotion in China and collaborate with Chinese cultural and tourism institutions to attract more Chinese tourists with pleasant tourism environment. 
Besides, both sides have reached extensive consensus on enhancing mutual visits and promoting exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture and museum.
