On December 23rd, a cultural and tourism promotion of Henan took place in New Delhi, capital city of India, attracting more than 100 Indian guests from all walks of life.
By virtue of videos and photos, the promotion introduced Henan’s historical and cultural scenic spots, including Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang and Yinxu Ruins in Anyang, to visitors. Its spectacular and beautiful natural landscapes also left a great impression on the guests, During the promotion, the performance of Shaolin Kunfu, which demonstrates Henan as “a hometown of Kungfu”, drew a hit among audience with cheers and applause.
Song Liping, head of Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said that Henan, with a long history and splendid culture, is the birthplace of Chinese nation and civilization. While China and India, as two ancient civilizations, have the history of mutual learning and exchanges till now. As the next year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and India, the Henan province will further deepen exchanges and cooperation with India under the framework of cultural and people-to-people exchanges to contribute to promoting dialogues and exchanges between two civilizations and developing bilateral ties.
Ashwani Sharma, chairman of the North Division of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), expressed that India and China, as two countries with abundant tourism resources, have broad prospect for cooperation. The India side is willing to join hands with the Chinese side to boost tourism cooperation.
