The Sichuan cultural promotion takes place in Britain

On the evening of December 9th, the Sichuan cultural promotion themed “The Spirit of Everything” took pace in the Natural History Museum in London.
Many guests marveled at an unique Sichuan in museum lobby where staged the photo exhibition of giant panda, the digital exhibition of Chinese ancient Shu civilization, folk arts and crafts of Sanxingdui as well as fine intangible cultural relics including Chengdu lacquer ware (Qiqi in Chinese). 
As a “business card” of Sichuan, the giant panda has won great popularity among peoples in the world. During the event, some exquisite photos and cultural and creative products were on display in the photo exhibition zone of panda to tell the stories of “Yali”, “Qiyi”, “Jiji”and other giant pandas.
The image of Giant Panda “Jiji”, who dwelt in London Zoo before, was imprinted on the emblem of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Moreover, its specimen was enshrined in the Natural History Museum after death in 1972. 
Clare Matterson, director of engagement for the Natural History Museum in London, said in his speech that his affection for “Jiji” in childhood made him fall in love with biology. There is great potential for China and British in protecting biological environment and promoting biological diversity.
