Xi Jinping Accepts Credentials from 19 Newly-appointed Ambassadors to China

On the afternoon of November 22nd, 2019, President Xi Jinping accepted credentials presented by newly-appointed ambassadors to China from 19 countries at the Great Hall of the People.
Guards of honor lined up orderly outside the North Gate of the Great Hall of the People while the trumpeters blew the horns to greet guests. The newly-appointed Ambassadors to China arrived successively, walked up the stairs along the red carpet and entered the Beijing Hall. The Ambassadors presented the credentials to Xi Jinping respectively. These 19 newly-appointed Ambassadors are: Latvian Ambassador to China Maija Manika, Myanmar Ambassador to China U Myo Thant Pe, Dutch Ambassador to China Wim Geerts, Jordanian Ambassador to China Hussam Al Husseini, Slovenian Ambassador to China Alenka Suhadolnik, Canadian Ambassador to China Dominic Barton, Ambassador of Burkina Faso to China Adama Compaore, Lao Ambassador to China Khamphao Ernthavanh, Bruneian Ambassador to China Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Pahlawan Colonel (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji Abdu'r Rahmani bin Dato Paduka Haji Basir, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Phạm Sao Mai, Costa Rican Ambassador to China Rodrigo Delgado Soto, Bangladeshi Ambassador to China Mahbub Uz Zaman, Rwandan Ambassador to China James Kimonyo, Thai Ambassador to China Arthayudh Srisamoot, Egyptian Ambassador to China Mohamed El Badry, Panamanian Ambassador to China Leonardo Alfonso Kam Binns, Singaporean Ambassador to China Lui Tuck Yew, Kazakh Ambassador to China Gabit Koishibayev and Cuban Ambassador to China Carlos Miguel Pereira.
Xi Jinping welcomed all Ambassadors on their assumption of the new posts in China. Xi Jinping pointed out, China attaches great importance to developing friendly relations with all countries, and is willing to work with various countries to increase political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, and jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative so as to benefit the people of all countries. The Chinese government will provide convenience and support for the Ambassadors to fulfill their duties. It is hoped that the Ambassadors will make positive contributions to deepening friendship between China and their countries and promoting the development of bilateral relations.
The Ambassadors conveyed warm greetings from their state leaders to Xi Jinping and extended their warm congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. They spoke highly of China's splendid achievements and tremendous contributions to the cause of world peace and development for the past 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China. They expressed that their countries look forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation with China and will actively participate in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. They feel greatly honored to serve as Ambassadors to China and will make active efforts to push the relations between their countries and China.
