Gansu province holds culture and tourism promotion in Israel

The Gansu Intangible Heritage and Food Festival and Gansu Culture and Tourism Promotion took place in the evening of May 12th at China Culture Center in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel. 

The promotional event, hosted by Gansu Culture and Tourism Department, consists of Gansu tourism photo exhibition, the display of traditional craftsmanship including Lanzhou gourd sculpting, Qingyang sachet embroidery and Heshui dough sculpture, as well as Yugu ethnic songs and Lanzhou beef noodles. 
“The event, as one of activities of China Tourism and Culture Week, enables Israel people to have a direct understanding of Gansu’s culture and Chinese culture through promoting Gansu’s delicate food, craftsmanship and tourism.” said Wan Ting, director of China Culture Center in Tel Aviv-Yafo.
More than 100 people of tourism representatives and local residents attended the event. In front of the Lanzhou beef noddles stand was a long line and the craftsmanship won many cheers among local residents. Besides, Anmei, a Yugu ethnic singer in festive ethnic clothes, performed an original indigenous song with warm applause of the audience.
“Lanzhou Beef noodles and various dim-sums are very delicious and the ethnic performances are also attractive. I am very looking forward to witnessing Gansu’s beautiful landscapes in pictures.” said Ueli Auron, who is 77 years old now. 
“This event was so impressing as to remind me of experiences in Beijing. I am really looking forward to visiting China again as China is excellent in culture and food.” said Nigno, who is an Israel producer that has participated in the Asian Culture Carnival with his delegation in May.
