Chinese vice minister of Culture and Tourism meets with Kazakh ambassador to China

On March 25th, Zhang Xu, vice minister of Culture and Tourism, met with Kazakh Ambassador to China Shakhrat Nuryshev. They conducted extensive exchanges on further advancing people-to-people and cultural cooperation between China and Kazakhstan.

Zhang Xu welcomed their visit. He said that China and Kazakhstan are friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, and comprehensive strategic partners with mutual trust. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 27 years ago, two countries, who set a good example for neighbouring countries, have witnessed a sound and stable relationship with a harvest of practical cooperation in various areas. Besides, he also appreciated Nuryshev’s efforts to push forward the people-to-people and cultural cooperation during his four-year mission in China. China is willing to deepen cooperation with Kazakh Embassy in China so as to ensure a long-lasting relation. 
Nuryshev extended his thanks to Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism for its strong support to Kazakh Embassy to China all the time. He stressed that a series of influential cultural exchange activities have been held in recent years with joint cooperation between two sides. which is of great significance to cement friendly ties between two countries and promote people’s connectivity. Kazakhstan will proactively support the events including the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and Dialogue of Asian Civilizations held in China within this year.
Both sides exchanged views on the way of strengthening cooperation in culture and art, tourism, films and archives under the framework of sub-committee on cultural and people-to-people cooperation between China and Kazakhstan.
