On May 13th, Hu’nan Tea Promotion was held in Casablanca, the biggest city of Morocco. Nearly 100 representatives from home and abroad conducted practical exchanges on cooperation in agriculture including tea.
Sui Zhongcheng, vice-governor of Hu’nan province, expressed that Morocco is a major country in green tea consumption. Whereas Hu’nan, as a famous Chinese tea hometown, is willing to join hands with relevant Morocco’s organizations and enterprises to conduct exchanges on cooperation in agriculture including tea, carry out mutual learning and help each other in quality inspection standard, process and transformation and brand construction of tea products.
“Tea is one of essentials in Morocco’s daily life with more than 2kg per capita tea consumpti on of Moroccan people in 2018, Some of them are from Hu’nan, China.” said Muhammad Astayb, head of the Morocco Tea Association, adding that Morocco is an important tea export market for China. Its tea companies are willing to work jointly with Chinese tea enterprises to push forward further development of tea trade.
