On May 16th, the Asian Culture and Tourism Exhibition kicked off at National Agricultural Exhibition Center in Beijing. Chinese Minister Luo Shugang of Culture and Tourism, Cambodian Tourism Minister Thong Khon and Lao Minister Bosengkham Vongdara of Information, Culture and Tourism attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
Luo expressed,, the Asian Culture and Tourism Exhibition, as the implementation of President Xi’s initiative on enhancing dialogue of Asian civilizations, aims to show the latest tourism developments in China and other Asian countries, enable the audience to have a better understanding of charming Asian cultures and tourism, build a platform for people specializing in culture and tourism to be full aware of core cultural and tourism resources and trend in Asian countries, promote international cooperation, purse deeper and wider exchanges and cooperation as well as bring Asian countries closer.
The three-day event from May 16th to 18th, which is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and operated by Beijing Sunny International Communications L.t.d, aims to show the latest tourism developments in China and other Asian countries through promotion on cultural and tourism, cultural performances, travel operator conference, cultural and tourism products purchasing meeting, world heritage image exhibition, promotion of guest-of-honor countries and themed provinces.
The opening ceremony was attended by more than 700 guests, including officials from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, foreign envoys to China, heads of departments of culture and tourism of different provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, as well as representatives from international tourism organizations.
