Located in the southeast of Suzhou, or southwest of Kunshan that is very near Shanghai, Zhouzhuang boasts very convenient transportation and distinctive geographical advantages, making it the head of Top Six Ancient Towns along the southern reaches of the Yangtze River, known as the Best Water Town in China.  Famous attractions include Boat APEC (Boat Zhouzhuang), Quanfu Temple, Hall of Shen, Double Bridge, Enthralling Pavilion, South Lake and Hall of Zhang. Zhouzhuang looks like a jade that is passed down from the Tang and Song Dynasty in the southern reaches of the Yangtze River. By virtue of its blessed rich aquatic resources, Zhouzhuang has vigorously developed tourism under the guiding principle of developing while preserving. Based on its distinctive features, it continues to develop its cultural value, improve the facilities around the scenic spot and build it into the Best Water Town in China over the past decade. It is the first town in China to achieve this, winning an array of awards, such as the 5A scenic spot (in the first batch), the Top 50 Favorite Spots by Foreigners, the Advanced Collective in National Tourism System and the Famous Chinese Tourism Brand. 

Zhouzhuang has relentlessly developed its excellent traditional culture, explored cultural tourism, made every effort to build it into a water town that is full of folk traditions, close to life and rich in culture.
