The Great Wall is a treasure of Chinese civilization, one of the world's cultural heritages, a structure on a par with the Egyptian pyramids, and a miracle of mankind. More than 2,000 years ago, it was the laboring people who built the Great Wall after a lot of hard work. The Great Wall is the crystallization of the wisdom of the ancient Chinese people and a great symbol of the Chinese nation, still standing after thousands of years of wind and rain, and its spiritual core is worth every Chinese person's consideration. We should do a good job in discovering the cultural value of the Great Wall and heritage inheritance and protection, carry forward the spirit of the nation, and gather majestic strength for realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The Great Wall has an irreplaceable role to play in the world's understanding of China and in China's development towards the world. As early as the Han Dynasty, the Great Wall played a great role in promoting and protecting cultural exchanges between China and the West. Ever since Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty sent Zhang Qian on a mission to the western countries, the Great Wall was used as a base to open up and maintain a 20,000-mile-long transportation artery from Chang'an, the capital of Han Dynasty, in the east to Daqin in the west, which is the famous "Silk Road".

Many foreigners know China from the Great Wall, which is one of the best entry points for people from other countries in the world to learn about Chinese history, Chinese culture and the Chinese nation. The Great Wall of China, a magnificent structure that condenses the wisdom and strength of the Chinese nation for thousands of years, has left a valuable legacy in the history of mankind.

In 2019, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized during his visit to the Great Wall in Jiayuguan Pass that the Great Wall has condensed the spirit of struggle of the Chinese nation's self-improvement and the patriotic sentiment of the united spirit and resilience, and has become a representative symbol of the Chinese nation and an important symbol of Chinese civilization. It is necessary to inherit and protect the cultural value and heritage of the Great Wall, carry forward the spirit of the nation, and gather majestic strength for the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

During the Qin and Han Dynasties, there was an unprecedented dialogue and exchange of cultures between the north and south of the Great Wall, and the Qin edicts found along the Great Wall, the mural paintings of the Han tombs in Heringer, Inner Mongolia, and the famous Zhaojun's Tomb are all testimonies to the exchange and integration of the cultures of the north and the south. In the cultural belt of the Great Wall area, there are numerous famous monuments left behind, such as Dunhuang, Yungang Grottoes, and Maiji Mountain. These all reflect the characteristics of cultural exchanges and record the cultural splendor of the Chinese nation's history.

Since Qin Shi Huang, almost all dynasties that ruled over the Central Plains had to build the Great Wall. More than ten dynasties, including Han, Jin, Northern Wei, Eastern Wei, Western Wei, Northern Qi, Northern Zhou, Sui, Tang, Song, Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing, have built the Great Wall on different scales. From the point of view of the ruling ethnic groups that built the Great Wall, in addition to the Han Chinese, many dynasties ruled by ethnic minorities in China also built the Great Wall, and more than those ruled by the Han Chinese. During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, although the large-scale construction of the Great Wall was stopped, the Great Wall was built in some places later, and it can be said that the construction has not stopped for more than 2,000 years since the beginning of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period to the Qing Dynasty.

Chinese civilization has a long history, and the culture of the Great Wall is profound. Today, our understanding and awareness of the value and significance of the Great Wall is still far from the Great Wall. Only if we really understand the greatness of the Great Wall can we love and protect it from the bottom of our hearts.

The great Great Wall of China not only tells the world about the past glory, humiliation, resistance, courage, strength and wisdom with his great body and big heart ...... He also shows the world the profoundness of the excellent traditional Chinese culture, the richness of the Chinese red revolutionary culture and the powerful socialist advanced culture with a brand new attitude. The Great Wall of China is the source of Chinese wisdom, Chinese courage and Chinese strength.
