Porcelain is a "Chinese business card" that began to mature during the Han Dynasty and flourished during the Tang and Song dynasties. Colorful square inches, reflecting the Chinese ancestors on the pursuit and formation of beauty. Ancient poems are full of description of porcelain: "craftsmen come from all directions, porcelain are spreading all over the world," said the prosperity of porcelain capital; "the world is difficult to have something comparable to vermilion, even the Western gems can not be equated with it," described its precious material ; "the color of the sky after the rain is used to make porcelain", praised the beauty of the glaze ......

Looking back at the history of ancient Chinese porcelain, during the Tang Dynasty, the temperature of the kiln reached more than 1,000 degrees Celsius; during the Song Dynasty, the five famous kilns of "Ru, Guan, Ge, Jun and Ding" were developed; during the Yuan Dynasty, the Arabian Suma Liqing material was introduced; during the Ming Dynasty, glazes such as blue and the five-color were all the rage; and during the Qing Dynasty, the porcelain blanks were painted with Western enamel materials. ...... Ancient porcelain craftsmen never stopped moving forward. Now a wide range of porcelain are shown on the market, but they are not born gorgeous. Behind their splendor is thousands of years of water and fire refining.

The development of porcelains reflects the worldwide spread of Chinese culture. A Chinese Tang Dynasty shipwreck found in Indonesia contained more than 60,000 pieces of porcelain, enough to see its weight in international trade and cultural exchanges at that time. To this day, Chinese porcelain can still be seen in many foreign museums. Historically, after gaining Chinese porcelain raw materials and manufacturing technology related knowledge and innovation, the European porcelain industry rose rapidly.

However, with the rise of modern industry, especially the development of precision chemicals and precision control technology, stick to tradition, lacking of innovation has become the difficulties faced by the development process of Chinese ceramics. At the global level, although China's porcelain production occupies the first place, but there are few well-known ceramic brands and "pop" products. In recent years, more and more ceramic enterprises recognize the importance of innovation. For example, in Fujian Dehua, craftsmen put the spirit of the Winter Olympics into the traditional crafts, designed "Bing Dwen Dwen" ornaments; in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, modern painters gradually get rid of the figures, birds, flowers, longevity and other traditional motifs, began to use the Western abstract painting elements; there are also a number of enterprises introduced 3D printing technology, so that ceramic materials have a richer pattern.

It is worth noting that the current booming digital economy also provides new opportunities for Chinese ceramics. From family workshops to the industrialization of e-commerce development, from offline sales to online livestream, many enterprise completed the transformation through e-commerce, and renewed vitality.

Along with the expansion of the ceramic market and the promotion of new materials, people’s need of new porcelains materials that can be used in the fields of aerospace, biomedical, semiconductor, chip packaging, communications electronics and other high-tech fields with different magnetic, electrical, optical, acoustic properties will increase soonIt is hoped that Chinese porcelain craftsmen can seize the opportunities of the times and continuously enhance their innovative capabilities, so that the old craftsmanship can blossom into a new glory and create a new beauty of the times.
