On August 1st, 2014, the China (Longnan) Qiqiao Girl’s Festival and International Forum for Woman’s Development, co-hosted by the department of Intangible Cultural Heritage, China Folk Literature and Art Association, Gansu Provincial Publicity Department, Gansu Provincial Culture Department, Gansu Woman’s Federation, Longnan Municipal Committee of the CPC and Longnan People’s Government, took place in Beijing. Gu Xiulian, vice-chairmen of the standing committee of the 10th National People's Congress and director of the China Next Generation Care Working Committee, Lian Ji, director of the Gansu Provincial Publicity Department, and Cui Jianghong, secretary general of the Cultural Exchange Organization of Presenting China to the World, were present.
